With 13 days to go until the big day, I was contemplating the aging process from a male and female perspective and have decided it is much costly as a woman.
For example, as we approach 50 or years before, our hair starts to turn grey or we start losing it all together, our hair that is.  We have all heard it before, right ladies - "the grey in his hair makes him look more distinguished".  Never heard that one about a woman.  No - we colour our hair and when our original shade isn't cutting it anymore we change hair colours which leads to changing our make-up and lipstick colour to follow suit, you can see where I'm going - $$$$  (I received a make-up consultation today on the right shade of foundation for my newish red locks - thus the blog inspiration, and btw the answer was Laura Mercier Linen).
And when they are doing the make-up consultation they also discuss how to hide those wrinkles, imperfections etc.  Luckily, the make-up artist helping me said you have great skin - can't believe you are turning 50!  I wonder how many men buy skin products thinking hmmm....wonder if this will help my crow's feet fade away.  Even when I go in for my dermatology appointments now, it's not just about checking up on any moles that look odd. The services abound that can make us look smoother, firmer, etc. ....
And men, well many just go gray naturally and those that have a hairline that is receding - shave it all off... not fair - bald and they look good !  Just remember the sunscreen boys :-)
