I purchased a new piece of jewelery recently. It's called a Jawbone UP 24 and it's an activity tracker. It monitors things like the number of steps you've taken, the number of hours you've slept etc.
It's an interesting device as I can also program things like fluid intake - it reminds me every 2 hours to drink my water.  You can also program medications - so every night at 10pm it reminds me to take my Reactine.

Not only is it nice looking on my wrist, it is comfortable to sleep in and it syncs with my iPhone to track all the information.You can set goals for your sleep, weight loss and different activities such as walking. It sends you motivational messages if you are not reaching your goals and achievement messages when you hit a goal. My personal goal for sleep is 8 hours and for walking is 10,000 steps.
I have hit the sleep goal a few times in the past 30 days. 
And today I have finally hit my walking goal - yay !!
Next goal - hit 10,000 steps and 8 hours sleep on the same day.
I'll keep you posted, for now I'm off to sleep to catch some zzz's
